Have you ever been to the Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade? It is a family tradition that I look forward to every year! The Austin Police Operation Blue Santa gets the majority of its gifts donated during the yearly parade. They will help over 20,000 kids and over 6,000 families this year enjoy the holiday season with gifts and a delicious meal. This year the annual parade will be rocking downtown, November 30th at 11am. The parade starts at the State Capitol at 11th and Congress, moving south on Congress all the way to Cesar Chavez, ending just north of the bridge.

The most amazing part of the parade is when it comes to a complete stop and all the kids run out to donate their new, unwrapped gift to Austin Police Operation Blue Santa. Every year the gifts most needed are for ages 11-14 and infants. Applications for families to be benefited is also open now at BlueSanta.org. Scott Stephens, from Austin Police Operation Blue Santa, and Brooke Cox, from Chuy’s, stopped by Local Insights to get you pumped for the parade! Oh, and look for me on the dang ol TV with the CBS crew covering the parade!
Check out the action from this Chuy’s Parade time lapse.
