Leave NO Trace Behind
Did you know there's over 20,000 acres of green space in Austin? The City of Austin Parks & Recreation Department sent a Park Ranger to my studio to learn us a thing or two about how to properly enjoy this green space to ensure it stays natural and healthy. Park Rangers look to interact with the public, help interpret natural resources, and encourage stewardship of said natural resources. You can help preserve Austin's natural spaces and minimize your impact by practicing the 7 Principles of Leave NO Trace.
Casey Carter, Park Ranger for the City of Austin Parks & Rec Department, stopped by Local Insights to share some tips on how to have a positive impact on our shared public space in Austin that will benefit other humans as well as the wildlife that resides in them. If you're heading out to the Greenbelt, or any other outside treasure Austin has to offer, please listen to his interview and share it with your friends so we call can enjoy these spaces for generations to come. #LeaveNoTraceATX
