July 4, 2000, the L.A. Lloyd Rock 30 began syndication
25 years later, it’s still going strong. 1,304 shows have been done since the first one with Kid Rock. I’ve met all my Rock heroes and premiered the new Rock Stars from their first single.
This year, during the weekend of July 4-6, 2025 I’m going through all the archives and we’ll relive a lot of memories with you! This has been an interesting time listening to this audio with some artists who are no longer with us, but their music legacy lives on.

Touring With Maiden
Avatar has a new song that does not sound like any other song on the Rock 30. Johannes Eckerström, vocalist, returns for his third appearance to co-host the Rock 30. He will discuss how their new song Captain Goat literally wrote itself and he compares it to capturing “lightning in a bottle.”
Avatar will be doing several dates through the Summer of 2025 touring with Iron Maiden. It’s not their first rodeo with them as they did some dates in 2025 as well. Tune in to the Rock30 this weekend on KLBJ 93.7 FM Austin!
