New Las Vegas Festival Announced: Sick New World
Are niche nostalgia festivals becoming the new trend?
Sick New World has been announced and turning a lot of heads. This brand-new fest sets out to harbor multiple generations of hard rock groups.
A lot of comparison has been made to Las Vegas’ recent “When We Were Young” Fest, though the lineup seems to be concentrated specifically on Nu metal and an early 2000’s rock groups.
System of a Down, Korn, and Deftones fall perfectly into the Nu Metal theme while Incubus, Chevelle, and Evanescence add even more nostalgic value. Some of the most surprising additions were hyperpop/alt duo 100 Gecs and rap-rock band Death Grips.
Sick New World is sure to stir up a nostalgic and rowdy crowd.
