So I had this idea, basically how could I support my Lego habit and get my wife on board with fitting it in our budget… I know, DO IT FOR WORK! Actually, she totally supports my addiction to the brick. My level of childlike enjoyment is kind of ‘cute,’ so she gives me space.
Honestly, my love of the Lego began when I was a kid, my Mom gave me my first big set when I had a stay in the hospital and ever since I have enjoyed building and playing. I took a few decades off and really didn’t come back to the build until I was hunting for a solo activity that kept me off my screen, and helped me focus on a single task. I can be obsessive, unsettled and get anxious, but Lego serves as a leveling force in my life, giving a singular task, trusting in the build, and hitting on some of my favorite fictional universes to complete something fun & ultimately without any purpose, other than making me smile. –Chuck

I’ve been hitting sales & discounts, saving Christmas & Birthday presents, assembling a host of sets and hopefully, at some point, might even stream a few of these builds! Check out the first five builds of the year below and be sure to follow Chuck on IG for all his build shots.
