Mission Capital Board Summit
Mission Capital's goal is to "equip and connect the mission driven leaders and organizations and networks working to advance opportunity and equity in Central Texas." For 18 years they've helped nonprofits who do good, do it better. They also host a Board Summit every year where Austinites can get together to find out what it's like to sit on a nonprofit board. On June 6th, from 6-8:30pm at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, if you are interested in working with one of our hundreds of local nonprofits, you can ask questions and meet more than 40 nonprofits that need board members.
Lisa Keefauver, from Mission Capital, and Chris Rios, from Texas Capital Bank, stopped by Local Insights to spread the word on what it's like to be on a board of a nonprofit. This event is a great way to find out if sitting on a nonprofit board is right for you. There will be over 40 nonprofits on hand, and staff will be on hand to learn you a thing or two about what they do and if you'd be a good fit with their organization. The goal of the Summit is to help create nonprofit boards that are diverse and inclusive, so if you have the time, energy, and desire to do more for a nonprofit, chances are you'll find a great match on June 6th at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. Spread the word!
If you have any interest in learning about what it's like to sit on a nonprofit board, make plans to attend the Mission Capital Board Summit, June 6th at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.
