Keep Austin Fed Helps Deliver Over 40,000 Pounds Of Surplus Food A Month To Those Who Need It Most!

Hear How You Can Help KAF!

When I first heard of Keep Austin Fed, and how they pick up and deliver surplus food to Austinites who need it, I thought to myself, why doesn't everybody do this?!? Now I hear they're collecting over 40,000 pounds of food a month and need more volunteers to help keep up with the demand! Operations Director, Joseph De Leon, and CMO, Munira Fareed, stopped by Local Insights to tell you about KAF's history, and what they need from you to continue to grow. Plus, Joseph was awarded "Legend" status by Recognize Good, and now KAF is in the running for $10,000 to put towards their organization. Joseph and Munira share how KAF will use that money if you vote for them to receive the award!

Congrats to Joseph De Leon for being recognized a "Legend" in Recognize Good's 'Say Thanks Austin'!

If you want to help KAF win $10,000 from Recognize Good, then here's how you can!

You can vote once a day until January 30th!

If you can volunteer just an hour of your time, KAF needs people to volunteer for 'food runs'. Be a part of the solution and volunteer! @KEEPAUSTINFED - @BDOEROCKS - Fbook/KeepAustinFed
