Ozzy Osbourne Announces Solo Farewell Tour
Ozzy Osbourne has announced the farewell tour to end all farewell tours: a massive expedition across the globe that will kick off in Mexico in 2018 and keep running well into the year 2020.
This two-year trek around the world will mark the end of Ozzy's 50 years of international touring, but is not the end of Ozzy's career. "People keep asking me when I'm retiring ," he shared in statement on his website. "This will be my final world tour, but I can't say I won't do some shows here and there."
Ozzy's supergroup backing band for the tour will include some of his longtime collaborators, including Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde on guitar, Rob "Blasko" Nicholson on bass, Adam Wakeman on keys, and Tommy Clufetos, who recently joined Ozzy on the final Black Sabbath tour, on drums.
The first stretch of the farewell tour has already been announced, and includes dates across South America, Russia, Europe, and Scandinavia through June 2018. Stay tuned to Ozzy's website for the US tour announcement, which is due to be revealed sometime next year.
