8th Annual Stuff The Bus Food Drive
It's time for the 8th Annual Stuff The Bus Food Drive! Capital Metro and Whole Foods Market are literally stuffing busses with food to help benefit the Central Texas Food Bank, December 6-8 at the Domain and Downtown Whole Foods. The CTFB is the 'largest hunger relief organization in Central Texas covering 21 counties". You can help families in need this holiday season by getting out and stuffin some busses!

Dottie Watkins, Capital Metro VP, and Amelia Long, Central Texas Food Bank Director of Community Engagement, stopped by Local Insights to encourage all of YOU to help stuff the bus this holiday season. There will be CTFB peeps dressed in costumes to help you with donating the goods on-site, and some of the most needed items are - Peanut butter, canned chicken breast or tuna, canned low sodium vegetables, canned fruit in its own juice (no added sugar), dry pinto beans, brown rice, non-fat dry milk powder, and 100% whole grain cereal. Help spread the word, then help Stuff The Bus to help our hungry Central Texans in need this holiday season!
If you can't make it out Dec. 6-8, you can still drop off goods at Capital Metro Transit Store weekdays through Dec. 11th!
Did you know every dollar you donate to Central Texas Food Bank can create FOUR meals for someone in need? You can also donate and volunteer with CTFB throughout the year!
