Did you know 50% of Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder will refuse to seek treatment? Did you know that suicide is the #1 cause of death for U.S. troops? Our U.S. Military Veterans deserve more. Why has PTSD been swept under the carpet and perceived taboo to talk about in our society? The Cpl. Chad Eric Oligschlager Foundation for PTSD is an amazing nonprofit providing "a positive difference in the lives of our troops suffering from the stress, adversity and trauma encountered while serving our country." They do everything from raising awareness of PTSD to the general public, to providing free PTSD treatment (pharmaceutical free) from Dr. Tania Glenn, to helping provide temporary housing to returning Veterans.
Eric Olegschlager started this foundation 10 years ago when his son passed away due to "multiple drug toxicity". Chad was being prescribed 12 separate forms of medication from the VA. Eric and the Olegschlager family's mission is to see every Veteran receives actual care for PTSD and to ensure that no other family would have to go through what they did. Dr. Tania Glenn joined forces with the nonprofit and brought her expertise in treating First Responders and Veterans for PTSD all DRUG FREE for no cost to the Veteran. On November 10th from 11am-5pm at the Leander VFW #10427, Veterans and supporters will gather for the 10th Annual Cpl. Chad O Foundation Benefit to help raise funds to pay for Veterans treatment of PTSD. To date, the organization has helped almost 200 Veterans receive treatment from Dr. Glenn at ZERO cost. Eric Oligschlager and Dr. Tania Glenn share the success story of the Cpl. Chad O Foundation for Treament of PTSD, and how it can help you or a loved one, on this episode of Local Insights!
The 10th Annual Cpl. Chad O Foundation Benefit is also a celebration of the Marine Corps Birthday! Make plans to attend this family fun event with music, food, auctions, and MORE, on Nov. 10th at the Leander VFW #10427.
