Dale Dudley - began his radio career in his hometown of Tyler, Texas in 1979. His dream was to do mornings in a Major Market such as Chicago or Los Angeles. After a four year stint in Lubbock, he made it to Austin. The major markets never called as he has languished here for twenty years. Dale’s second dream was to act in major motion pictures. Sadly he has had minor parts in many minor films. Dale’s many awards in the broadcast industry sit on a shelf in a dilapidated room of his want- to- be mini mansion, A dusty tribute to a big fish in the little dry pond. Dreams die hard.
Robert “Bob ‘El Dorado’ ‘Sugarfoot’” Fonseca, a 28-year veteran of the entertainmint and marketing industrys and college graduate, teemed up with Dale Dudley in 1992 to create Austin’s longest running and most successful radio talk show francise, known as The Dudley and Bob Show (featuring Dale Dudley, Bob Fonseca, Carly Hodge and Angela Davis) which has been heard on KLBJ-FM since 1992. At that time he accepted a giant salary reduction to take part in what has since been called a “cash cow ratings bonanza” for the fledgling rock station. Bob enjoys working 4.5 hours a day, and in his words says “it’s the only job in the business easier than consulting.” Bob is a lover, a father, and is active at his church. He does not sit on any boards. He has lived abroad. He is a college graduate. He is proud of his carreer at KBLJ-Fm with the possible exceptuion of the night at a club promoshun when a listener slipped him a “mickey” and he ended up hurling over the balconey of the Driskell Hotel. Bob hopes to be a radio consultant someday.
Charlie Hodge - is from Austin, Tx. born November 1, 1976. On that day the nurses and doctors at Seton Hospital all started to dance, and that little known fact is how the “mashed potato” was invented. Charlie started as a listener of KLBJ and in the mornings would catch the Dudley & Bob Show on his drive to Austin High School. After college Hodge somehow lied, begged and stunted his way onto the D&B show and into his dream career. Charlie also enjoys: Not wearing a tie, sleeping when it’s hot outside, using his minor celebrity status to lay girls and hoping it never comes to an end!
