Four day - Citywide – all-inclusive celebration of poetry! Over 250 registered poets from international, national, state, and local areas will participate in the 21st Annual Austin International Poetry Festival (AIPF) April 11-14, 2013, which is open to the public. This four-day celebration poetry festival includes live local readings at some of Austin’s finest venues, poetry workshops, open mics, music and poetry presentations, Adult and Youth anthology with complete readings, poetry slams, an all-night open mic and a poetry symposium.

AIPF is organized by a volunteer-run 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Assistance is welcomed by volunteers on committees for accommodations & transportation, Anthology, art, featured poets, fundraising, registration, program (Printed), public relations, venues, web site, youth activity. There are also opportunities to volunteer in the following areas of assistant reading host, assistant photographer and videographer, event docent, event poster/blogger/tweeter, festival runner, poet driver, workshop assistant.
