In defense of the cat billboards.

What did you think about the cat billboards KLBJ had a few years ago? Personally, I thought it was a stroke of pure genius (and I’m not just saying that because it was part of my idea). Even most of the staff and on air team were divided. A coworker from our Spanish station asked me “Porque?” and I responded with “Exactly”. A lot of people didn’t get it but soon Internet posts and phone calls began to stream in. “What’s with the damn cat billboards?” Whether you liked them or not, whether you got it or not - you were thinking about them and people were talking about them. And that is the point. Unfortunately, the boards did stay up as long as I had hoped. So what next? Well… I’ve got idea (tomorrow).
