Everyone looks forward to summer, right? Why not? Especially if you can take some time off with your family and just get away for a while. The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas feels the sting of everyone getting away with dangerously low donation levels throughout summertime. Cindy Rowe tells you why it’s important to be a donor throughout the year, and how Blue Bell ice cream is sweetening the deal if you donate through August 14th.  

Jason Hill is a spokesman for Austin Water. With temperatures starting to rise over the 100 degree mark, he reminds you of some conservation tips, and what the different numbered water restrictions means to you and to Austin.
