RIP Vinnie Paul

Fans and musicians were shocked at the untimely passing of Vinnie Paul who died in Las Vegas Friday 6/22/18 at the age of 54. Tweets poured out over the weekend from several musicians including Lars Ulrich, Paul Stanley, former members of his previous band Pantera as well as the current band Hellyeah.

I found an interview recorded October 21, 2012 with Vinnie. No elaborate studio…just standing outside on a beautiful Texas day in San Antonio hearing Vinnie talk about why he loved music so much. The story of him being on 2nd row at a KISS concert and Paul Stanley calling him “Rock and Roll Royalty” is priceless.

We are all gonna miss you Vinnie!
