One Last Launch For The Rocket Man

Sir Elton John confirmed he will retire from touring to spend more time with his family..

John made the announcement at a press conference in at Gotham Hall in New York.  However, he said he would first play 300 shows over the next three years.

He told reporters, “My priorities are my children, my husband and my family.”

When asked about his health, he siad, “If you’re going to do 300 shows you’re not in ill health – I’m in great health.”

After the farwell tour ends Elton said there could still be select shows and added he would, “imagine it being like a residency like Kate Bush”, repeating that he “will not be travelling”.

Elton John will perform at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards in New York alongside Miley Cyrus.
