While everyone seems to be excited about how Bon Jovi being inducted into the class of 2018 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, many rock fans are left scratching their head wondering why Def Leppard isn't.  Def leppard has been eligible to be inducted since 2004 but so far...well nothing.  Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, who just performed at ACL Live on 1/27 on teh G3 18 tour, spoke with The Prog Report and said "We talk about how pathetic it is when it comes up. Everyone else talks about it. We go, we're a rock band that sold 100 million albums, most of them, actually, in America. We're a real rock band, we've been together for 30, or nearly 40 years, and the fact that that's not recognized is kind of a bit weird. So it really doesn't faze us. It's someone else's problem, and [we] don't care, honestly."

Meanwhile back in November, Collen talked about a new Def Leppard album when he poke with Classic Rock Revisited and said, "“We have three songs on the go. Rick Savage has one, a verse that he sent me. I was messing around with some melodies for that too, and Joe [Elliott] has this amazing idea, and I have this one that’s kind of finished. I have melodies, a chorus and all the guitar parts. So we’ve started, officially, without even knowing it, the next Def Leppard album.”  Meanwhile as you're waiiting for the new album, you can win tickets everyday this week with Dudley and Bob with Matt to see Def Leppard and Journey 8/31 at AT&T Center in San Antonio...part of the KLBJ 45th Anniversary Concert Series.
