Champions Again At The 6th Annual Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam!

The One Hit Wonders demolished the Sultans of Swing again this year at the Dell Diamond. A grand time was had by all in attendance celebrating Mother's Day, and raising money for the Reckless Kelly Charitable Youth Foundation. I'm an obvious Longhorn fan, so it was pretty rad playin ball with Jordan Shipley, Ahmad Brooks, Kasey Studdard, Greg Swindell, and more! If you didn't make it to the game, and are interested in making a donation, please click HERE. Wanna see video of my plate appearance? Click HERE.

The big news of the day was the yin yang dynamic of Glenn Wilson Jr. and my buddy Joe Fladger. Can you tell by looking at the picture which one hit 3 home runs (including a grand slam), and which one struck out? I'm the one in the middle and went 0-1, ending my Lou Gehrig'esque hit streak at two. Yes, Joe struck out. I'll let that sink in. I asked Brooks Kieschnick if he'd ever seen that before in all the years he's played the RKCSJ. He said he could remember striking out ONE person over the last six years. Unfortunately, his teammate Joe was the second person ever to strike out at the plate. Joe's a lot better slappin da bass in Micky and the Motorcars, so catch them next time they're in town (May 23rd at The Roost)! The full excuse, I mean audio of Joe explaining his strike out, is right HERE!

After the game it was time for a 6 hour musical experience in the out field at Dell Diamond. It was awesome running into Rowdy Rockers like Bruce...

and Rick and Dan serving me up delicious Budweiser! To the victors go the spoils!

Plus, it was great hanging with the illustrious Dale Dudley of the Dudley and Bob Morning Show with Matt, and the yoga pants, I mean, Kirsten Winquist. Rock and Roll family!

Andy Langer and Kevin Connor hosted the game with their witty and ball busting banter. Andy was nice enough to take my Rookie Card picture. Thanks, Andy!

See ya next year for number 7! Rock!
