Rush & Heart Inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Let all the rockers rejoice, Rush has finally been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Having been eligible for induction since 1999, their 14 year wait is over. A band becomes eligible 25 years after their first recording is released. Theirs was the epic self-titled album “Rush”, put out in 1974.

Heart also made their way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. Lead by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, this band has some seriously appreciated talent. Not to mention, these bad ass chicks created the anthem “Barracuda;” a song that elicits immediate raucous singing from anyone who hears it.

Congrats to both bands and the other inductees who include: Albert King, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, and Donna Summer. A big salute to you all from KLBJ the Rock of Austin!
