KLBJ Classic Rock Updates
Posted 11/26/2012 11:35:00 AM

Just because our favorite bands and musicians here at KLBJ aren't coming out with Top 40 hits every other week doesn't mean that they've given up on rock and roll just yet. Here are a few updates on what's going on in the wonderful world of classic rock:

The Rolling Stones kicked off their 50th Anniversary tour in London last night. Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman were both there and they also contributed to a few songs. Who knew that Jagger would still look this good AND move like that?

Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin is the cover story of the latest Rolling Stone issue. Check out an excerpt of the interview here.

Chris Stamp passed away at the age of 70. He was the former co-manager of The Who and helped Jimi Hendrix found his career. Rest in peace.

Eric Burdon (from the Animals) released an EP last Friday with the Greenhornes. According to some album reviews, it's supposed to be pretty amazing. Guess you'll just have to go get the EP and see for yourself.

Pete Townsend on Letterman talking about his classic windmill guitar move.

If you've got some KLBJ-worthy news, we would love to hear from you. Comment on the story to let us know what's going on or call in to the station at 973-8300. We always love a good chat about the best kind of music the universe has ever seen.
