Bat Fest Rocked!

Just in case you missed it, here is a recap of Bat Fest 2013. This was a loooong day full of great music and partying down Austinites! Great to see so many Rowdy Rockers gathered in one location. Thanks to Dave for (as always) capturing the vibe and sounds of Austin. Too cool!
I started my day with The Heroine outta San Antonio. They were right... it was hot. Keep your eyes peeled for this band next time there in town. You will not be dissapointed.
Up Next was Black Queen Speaks from Houston. The band describes themselves as sounding like, "Jane's Addiction and Soundgarden got their asses kicked by James Brown." I agree and allow it. Enjoy.
Reckless Kelly just got off the road and properly rocked the Bat Fest stage. September 3rd at Waterloo Records Reckless Kelly will be celebrating their release of 'Long Night Moon.' Join them!
I've been hearing about Lukas Nelson for quite some time now, and I am very glad I saw him rock Bat Fest. Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real were a lot of fun. It might have been the sun, or the beer, but I'm pretty sure I heard some Pink Floyd and AC/DC licks sprinkled in the set as well. Check out his website and see this band!
And then it was the band that it seemed everyone was waiting for... HANK III. It was well worth the wait to see this band close out Bat Fest. The crowd was literrally going crazy, before I was consumed by the sea of Rowdy Rockers, I stumbled out and found myself a cab ride home. Thanks to all who came out and said what up, and thank you Austin, for being you. See ya next year!
