Jon Gruden Interested In Coaching At Texas?
12/18/2013 1:18:00 PM
Hell yea! My buddy Alex Dunlap reported on OrangeBloods Jon Gruden would be open in talking with the University of Texas about its coaching vacancy. Alex received this info from a "high level" source on the inside. All my sources on the street actually are high, so I take his word on things of this nature seriously.
How sweet would this be to hire the man they call Chucky?!? Gruden is called Chucky because of his likeness to the star of the movie, Chucky. He gets grief for his on air persona doing commentary for the NFL on TV, but when it comes to the actual sport of football, this guy eats, drinks, sleeps and breathes football 24 hours a day. And if you've never seen his Gruden's QB Camp series where he interviews QB's on game plans, the game, and plays, he has an amazing ability to speak the language of football, and communicate ...
Jeff Foxworthy's Red Fest Comes To Austin Memorial Day Weekend 2014!
12/13/2013 1:25:00 PM
Jeff Foxworthy has done everything from stand-up comedy, to acting, producing, and now creating his own festival called Red Fest. He was in town to unveil the lineup for Memorial Day weekend 2014 at the Circuit of the Americas. Red Fest is Jeff Foxworthy's brainchild combining music, comedy, camping, and pretty much anything outdoors/red neck. I asked him if this was red neck Caligula, and he replied, "more like a red neck heaven." Fair enough. Have you seen the promotional signs around town for Red Fest? We read them together like a comedy team destined to perform together. I ask Jeff about internet outrage and what it will be like hosting Red Fest in Austin, an island of blue in a sea of red. Does he pillow fight with pillows stuffed with cash with his fellow Blue Collar Comedy Tour friends? We talked everything from racing lawnmowers, to twerking... you heard me. ...
Black Sabbath Was Awesome!
12/3/2013 1:05:00 PM
I have to admit I was a bit anxious to see Black Sabbath at The Frank Erwin Center after reading a review of their Houston show. The author of the article was quite harsh in his critique of Ozzy's voice not hitting a right note all night. It was odd to finally see/meet Ozzy Osbourne in person after growing up with his music. Never in a MILLION years would have I expected the rock show Ozzy put on after meeting him backstage. During the meet and greet he was passive, calm, and gave off the impression that he would break something if he moved too fast. I did have a moment to ask him a question for all the Rowdy Rockers. Click play to hear his response. Once he hit the stage it was a totally different story. Ozzy and the band performed like a fairly young group. No, the guys ...
